The two-minute check

Check the pump breaker. A tripped breaker at the panel is the single most common “no water” cause. Reset it once — if it trips again, stop and call; the pump or wiring is telling you something.
Look at the pressure gauge by the tank. Zero with the pump running loud, or a pump that never shuts off, both mean a pro — don't keep running a dry pump.
Is the power out? No power, no pump. If you're on a generator, keep it outdoors and away from windows — never in the garage or basement.
Frozen season? Frozen line or pressure switch happens in cold pits and unheated crawlspaces. A hair-dryer on exposed plastic is a homeowner fix; anything past that belongs to a pro.
